Electricians across Australia are now taking advantage of new resources to help them smash their online opportunities and meet new clients.
How many sparkies does it take to build a website? Most would rather be trying to figure out the wiring of a computer than focus on online marketing techniques or website design, but as we discussed in our last post this can mean many missed opportunities for those looking to grow.
Master Electricians Australia (MEA) who are looking to address these inherent industry problems, have recently launched an online resource that has been designed to make it much easier for electricians to access online information that can support their work.
Funded by the Australian Government, the digital business kits are made to help companies to make the most of new technologies, develop an online presence and attract new jobs over the summer months when we know you’re all in high demand.
The MEA went on to cite some pretty alarming numbers from a 2013 study, which showed that 86 per cent of electrical contractors didn’t feel they had the time or the knowledge to make the most of online tools.
MEA CEO Malcolm Richards said that building a digital presence would be very important for companies looking to stay ahead of their competition.
“The industry has changed and will continue to change, so business owners also need to change in order to keep up. The future of the electrical industry increasingly needs to be a mix of a traditional work ethic with modern technologies,” Mr Richards said.
The kit covers a range of topics including how to get your business online and using the cloud to maximise productivity.
“The kit is a vital resource for business owners across our industry to get step-by-step guidance on how to grow an electrical business using digital tools.”
The power of the internet is limitless, and it’s not just the digital industry that can be utilised to its full potential in this age. We find that many electricians are ordering all of the parts they need for the week ahead on their IPhones, Androids and on the go devices making the week ahead much easier.
If you’re an electrician looking to order any of your lighting online, we offer trade prices to all Electricians on the go, not to mention same day delivery across all of Australia. Contact the team at Electronic Wholesalers Online on 1300 480 102 today.
